22/03/2005 : The stonecarrier ... (agra, cochin, india, jaipur, people)

This is a crop of a woman, whose job it was to carry stones - in her basket on her head - forth and back at a building site in Jaipur, Rajasthan - hence the colours of her clothes. The graininess is unavoidable in a crop like this, but actually contributes to the atmosphere, IMHO.
